28 people were killed and 150 injured in the Peshawar mosque explosion in Pakistan

 After a blast on Monday inside a mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan, at least 28 people were killed and 150 others were injured. After the Zuhr prayers, the explosion happened at around 1:40 pm close to the city's police lines.





The casualties were confirmed by Peshawar Commissioner Riaz Mehsood, who also said that a rescue effort was in progress inside the mosque because several people were still buried beneath the debris.

The senior official stated that "an emergency has been imposed at hospitals throughout the city and injured persons are being provided the best medical facilities."
