In Pakistan, gold surges to a new high

Sheikh Rashid's Lal Haveli residence has been sealed due to 'illegal occupation.'

 The Evacuee Trust Property Board(ETPB) on Monday sealed former innards minister and Awami Muslim League(AML)  principal Sheikh Rashid's Lal Haveli hearthstone in Rawalpindi over" illegal occupation".  According to ETPB Deputy Commissioner Asif Khan, after brigades from the board and the Federal Investigation Agency( FIA) arrived at the scene beforehand this morning, two units of the Lal Haveli and five touching units were sealed. Rashid's power over these Lal Haveli units, according to Khan, had been abandoned due to illegal land occupation. Murree is expecting heavy snowfall today

 The Meteorological Department predicts heavy snowfall in Murree on Monday, along with strong winds and thundershowers. Snowfall may also disrupt and close roads in Murree, Galiyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum valley, Bagh, Poonch, and Haveli, according to the warning. Tourists should exercise extreme caution during the spell. Temperatures are expected to drop by (2-4)°C following the storm. According to a Met Department official, a westerly wave is affecting the western and upper parts of the country and is expected to intensify over the next 24 hours. He stated that rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, the Potohar region, Kashmir, and GB on Monday. The expressway police will be in charge of traffic management, while the traffic police will be in charge of traffic management and parking on all other roads.

28 people were killed and 150 injured in the Peshawar mosque explosion in Pakistan

 After a blast on Monday inside a mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan, at least 28 people were killed and 150 others were injured. After the Zuhr prayers, the explosion happened at around 1:40 pm close to the city's police lines. The casualties were confirmed by Peshawar Commissioner Riaz Mehsood, who also said that a rescue effort was in progress inside the mosque because several people were still buried beneath the debris. The senior official stated that "an emergency has been imposed at hospitals throughout the city and injured persons are being provided the best medical facilities."

PTI: Imran Khan will run in by-elections for 33 open NA seats.

The constitution would be broken if by-elections were held later than 90 days: Qureshi Shah Mahmood Qureshi, an elderly leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf( PTI), said on Sunday that the PTI would dispute by-choices on 33 National Assembly seats in March and that former high minister Imran Khan would be their seeker in all constituencies.    On Friday, the Election Commission of Pakistan( ECP) declared that the by-choices for 33 NA seats would take place on March 16. After NA Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf accepted the adoptions of PTI lawgivers, the seats came vacant.    Fawad Chaudhry, the leader of the PTI,  preliminarily declared before this month that the party chief would run in by choices for every open National Assembly seat.    On January 17, Fawad posted a statement on Twitter stating that" Tehreek-e-Insaf will run  campaigners on all the seats and Imran Khan will be the  seeker of Tehreek-e-Insaf on these thirty-three seats."
